Robert D. Broome, ASA, CMEA, CSBA began his appraisal career in the 1980s with appraisal used machinery equipment for financing purposes along with retail/wholesale sales. He founded Gulf Atlantic Consultants, Inc. in January 2001 specializing in industrial and commercial machinery and equipment appraisals. Mr. Broome received his CMEA certification in 2006 and was designated Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) by the American Society of Appraisers in 2008.
Areas of expertise include retail/wholesale sales of new, used, and reconditioned tools and equipment to industrial consumers and manufacturing plants for over forty years. Mr. Broome and Gulf Atlantic Consultants have provided appraisal services to state, county and city entities, Attorneys, CPA’s, financial and lending institutions, businesses and individuals. The appraisals are provided for the following client needs: Buy / Sell Agreements, Business Valuations, Loans / Refinancing, Property Taxes Insurable Value, Trust / Estate Planning, Gift Planning, Divorce Settlement, Partnership Dissolution, Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, Cost Segregation and Eminent Domain issues.
Mr. Broome is currently serving as Special Magistrate for tangible personal property in Leon and Bay County, Florida. He has completed the Florida Department of Revenue training program for 2009, 2010 and 2011.
Mr. Broome is also an active member of the American Society of Appraisers and is currently serving a President of Chapter 08, North Florida. He also served a vice president in 2009-10 and 2010-11.
Mr. Broome is active in the National Business Builders Institute and serves on the Technical Committee.
